Stuffed toys are play dolls made up of an outer layer of sewn fabric with stuffed soft material, like fluff, on the inside. They can be identified by different names such as plush toys, stuffies, or plushes. In some countries, they may also be called soft or cuddly toys.
Materials commonly used for the outside include soft pile textiles or plain textiles, in some cases, even socks. Stuffed toys come in different forms, but most often resemble real animals, legendary creatures, cartoon characters (i.e., Mickey Mouse, Tom, and Jerry), or inanimate objects.
They are more of a comfort object, sometimes for display or common as a gift on Valentine’s Day, Christmas, and birthdays. Stuffed toys can be a gift item almost anybody, although they are most commonly gifted to children.
